(More customer reviews)I was curious so I tried out this product.It's supposed to keep your washing machine nice and clean.Having grown up hearing my grandmother's saying "You can't get clean clothes out of a dirty washer", I thought I'd give it a try.
Does it work?I have no idea.I've used it and beyond the perfume smell it left behind, I can't tell if my washer is any cleaner or not.For a moment, let's assume it DID clean my washer... does it do a better job than an empty load and a cup of bleach?I doubt it.I have a standard top-loading washer.Perhaps people with a high effencicy front loading washer - which are subject to mold troubles - will notice a difference.
Now, about the perfume smell.Oh my gosh.Even if I could tell this product worked better than plain bleach, I wouldn't buy it again unless it was an unscented version.I've since run 3 loads of laundry and can still smell the fake flowers.And that's with all of my windows open 3 days running.Yikes!Women who like that overwhelming, headache-causing, nausea-inducing perfume smell may be fine.Those of us who are sensitve to fake smells need to avoid this product.
I've given away my remaining packets.I'll stick with an occasional cup of bleach.
