I think the other people were having problems with the fact that the wringer system isn't intuitive. Most people seem to think you only push the wringer down to the end but they are missing the next step in which you're supposed to twist it. I didn't realize the twist part at first and I too experienced the problems listed above. It wasn't until I realized I was doing it wrong that I started getting the proper cleaning action. It's tough at first but the twist works easily after the first couple times. Replacement heads are really easy to get all you have to do is head down to a local big box retailer.
